writing
My coverage has ranged from the human costs of foreign wars and failed states abroad, to the erosion of American privacy, civil liberties, and essential rights in the United States. Over the years, the tone, subjects, and formatting of my writing have shifted, particularly as I alternated between journalist and think tank analyst.
But throughout it all, a few things have stayed constant. Highlighting underreported issues. Questioning comfortable narratives. Talking to people with unique perspectives and unheard stories. And above all, contributing to more authentic, well-rounded, and substantive dialogues about the big issues that drive our politics.
